Deptford Parish Council 2016

Delighted to be leading the campaign to re-launch Deptford Parish Council  after 50 years that will  restore Deptford’s Heritage. Identity, and sense of community whilst restoring legal powers on planning, licensing. By-Laws and we trust built greater community cohesion , as Deptford will be the first South London area to bring back its Parish Council and first London Parish Council to be restored.
The Queens Park Council will be a brand new Parish, we are seeking to restore what we had  in 1965 at the time, the most popular Parish Council in London which  the media early news reports confirm.
With local residents constantly feeling imposed upon and what seems to be no accountably or real community advantage on Planning. Development and Licensing, a Parish Council will allow residents a real voice with powers to change and to help maintain  Deptford’s Pride. Identity and restore its heritage  and importance in global history.
This Year’s  www.deptfordheritagefestival.org.uk is set to be truly amazing with awesome line up of must go events  with some smaller events having sold out at Christmas as great gift ideas. Buy your tickets for the handful of paid events that give us the cash to make the festival happen or request FREE tickets via the website for the 97% of free events. Children under 16 can go to ALL events Free. But still MUST  email via the website to go on the guest lists.

The Deptford Parish Council Public meeting with Government Officials will take place as first festival event  5pm Friday 29 April at The Zion Chapel New Cross Road Deptford SE14 6TJ

You can sign the petition if you are a SE8 resident at London And Country Office The Yellow House 37 Plough Way SE16 2LS  every day office hours.

Petitions can be collected or emailed directly to you as we are looking to secure many more than the 7.5% number required to bring this into effect in 2017 when elections would be held for Parish Councillors.
A Parish Council is Independent of Lewisham Mayor .

Please circulate these details as far as you can across Social Media. As any group can launch a Parish or Town Council, i am happy to help/advice residents and Community groups that feel they also need to create a strong voice .
