Christopher Marlowe , The Elizabethan playwright Was he murdered in Deptford ? Great Event on his life

Christopher Marlowe, the Elizabethan playwright, met his untimely death in Deptford on 30th May 1593.  Although he was only twenty nine years old, he had taken the London theatre world by storm producing seven plays including Tamburlaine the Great, The Jew of Malta, Dr. Faustus and Edward II.  Indeed, if Shakespeare had died at the same time as Marlowe, Marlowe would be considered the greater playwright.  As is often the case with those who die tragically young, several myths and rumours have grown up around Marlowe.  There have been suggestions of atheism, espionage, murder and even that his death might have been faked.
