Hexagon Housing Association increase rents by 20%

Hexagon Housing Association has increased its rents by a staggering 20% this is money paid by low paid workers who are already facing huge pressure on incomes from transport and food costs and real cuts in wages, on top of this the huge cost of fuel, and you wonder where people are expected to live, when housing association set up to offer affordable housing are no longer affordable to the very sector they were set up to help.
Lewisham  Labour Council is set to increase council rents for new tenants to 60% of local market rents, this is one way to get rid of poor workers, take away homes and services and then price them out of the area to be replaced by investors and international students who will pay the rents locals cannot afford.
